Check Point takes wraps off managed services offering

Check Point has launched a managed services offering to be sold via channel partners that can deliver both a monitoring service and a specific incident response feature

Check Point has taken the wraps off its first managed security services package that can be sold through the channel.

The security vendor is launching a couple of services under the ThreatCloud banner with resellers able to offer incident response, to deal with real-time security problems, and a managed security service that monitors networks and gateways.

The security industry has moved towards the cloud over the past 18 months but in the last couple more specific programmes have emerged, with the likes of Cloudcare coming out from AVG.

The Check Point offering is designed to give resellers the chance to provide continuous coverage as well as something more detailed for when problems do arise and has been put together with the aim of giving users peace of mind.

“With the increasing level of threat sophistication and greater frequency, it can be challenging for even the best-equipped security teams to stay ahead of the curve.  These new service offerings provide customers with critical security resources,” said Dorit Dor, vice president of products at Check Point Software Technologies.
