Oki adds managed print to reseller programme

Oki has added support for managed print services sales to its reseller programme as it looks to encourage more partners to sell those services

If hardware resellers were wondering what the theme of next year is going to be they can be fairly certain that it will be dominated by managed print services.

Oki has become the latest vendor to add managed print services to its reseller programmes following in the wake of the likes of Canon, which has made similar moves in the last few weeks.

The Oki programme will deliver training, marketing collateral and support for those resellers needing to make the business case to users.

“For many of these companies, MPS is a natural extension of their existing capabilities. However, they may lack the expertise, the right sales skills or the resources to offer the service to their clients. OKI is now providing a way to bridge these skills and knowledge gaps and help partners avoid losing business to their competitors,” said Rob Brown, business manager, managed print services, Oki Systems UK.

“Now a business can go to the supplier they are already using for networking, telephony, desktop PCs or stationery as a one stop shop, using them for print as well. This means one invoice from one service provider and one point of contact, instead of having to run print outside the corporate procurement process,” he added.
