Quest Software has used Microsoft's worldwide partner conference as the platform to launch a radical overhaul in its channel programme to simplify a disparate system that has developed over the last few years.
The vendor has acquired a number of other players over the years, with ten plus in the last five years, often inheriting a channel and accompanying reseller programme.
But with 4,500 partners around the world and most selling just the products they were linked in with before their supplier was purchased by Quest the aim of a unified programme is not only to bring reward and accreditation processed under one roof but also to encourage resellers to take a wider portfolio.
Michael Sotnick, vice president, worldwide channel and alliances at Quest Software, said that its Partner Circle scheme would finally bring everything into a single programme.
"We will now integrate them into the Quest programme because each has been operating in an isolated manner and they can now take advantage of a breath of portfolio," he said.
