Networking industry veteran and former Dimension Data and Cisco man Keith Carter has been snapped up by video and unified comms whizz Polycom as vice president of EMEA channel partners.
Based out of Polycom's Slough offices, Carter will take on responsibility for developing and implementing the vendor's channel strategy and programme in line with its worldwide value-based plan.
"We need to be able to operate consistently with our global partners in EMEA, but also locally with our regional channel partners in terms of strategy and programmes," said Polyciom EMEA president Mike Swade. "I am delighted Keith is joining the EMEA leadership team to drive what is deemed to be absolutely crucial."
Carter was most recently at Orange Business Services, where he headed up the firm's Consultancy Services and Global Business Development unit, and prior to that did a three-year spell at DiData as European Alliances division head.
