Trend Micro appoints Arrow ECS to reach virtualisation channel
In a move aimed at exploiting the closer links between security and virtualisation Trend Micro has appointed Arrow Enterprise Computing Solutions to its UK distribution line-up.

Emerging revenue opportunities for the channel with digital transformation
Digital transformation is a phrase that means many things to many people but for it to have any real relevance to the channel then it needs to mean a chance to make money. This guide will share some of the recent developments in the channel and the latest thoughts about the issue.
Arrow ECS joins Sphinx and Computerlinks on the distribution roster but because of its virtualisation pedigree will be expected to deliver Trend's products into a different reseller base.
The distributor has already brought together its virtualisation and security operations and also has an established relationship with VMware.
"Trend Micro is totally committed to its distributors, and this appointment provides access to a new channel and new resellers in the virtualisation space," said Trend Micro managing director of UK and Ireland Nigel Seddon.
Steve Pearce, managing director for Arrow ECS UK, said that there was a need for security products that fitted with VMware.
"This agreement will better enable our resellers to assist their customers with securing either existing or future virtualised environments," he said.
