Xerox is increasingly turning to the channel as a way of reaching more SME customers and has announced a clutch of fresh partners as part of that strategy.
The print specialist has been developing products that are designed to appeal to small and mid size customers and now wants to follow that step with more partners.
Back in April the firm launched its ConnectKey portfolio, which makes its printing devices smart and connected and gives resellers options to deliver a more personalised experience for users.
Speaking at the time Herve Tessler, president, international operations at Xerox, said that it had to provide more products for the SME market and the channel was the way to reach them.
“Demonstrating our continued innovation and market leading product development, this launch is further evidence of Xerox’s absolute commitment to supporting our channel partners in achieving long term and sustainable growth in their local markets," he said.
Two months on from that announcement the firm has talked about three new partners - document management specialist Arena Group, managed print and document solutions provider IT Document Solutions and office hardware and systems supplier Viking Office Systems.
“We have made substantial investments in services for the SMB market, and now we are actively recruiting strategic channel partners to expand our foothold.” said Andrew Morrison, managing director, Xerox UK and Ireland.
He said that the latest partners complemented the existing UK network and it would continue to flag up the proposition the firm had to offer the channel.
“We are working hard to help our partners build their businesses through offering customers some of the most innovative solutions on the market – and have significantly expanded the number of product choices and price points we’re offering as a result," he added.
The vendor has a network of 50 partners in the UK and two months ago also launched its PageConnect Services, which would appeal to those looking to add more options to a managed print service.
The vendor has made it clear that it has more products that should appeal to partners in the pipeline that should come out in the next few months.
