Cisco and Citrix have lifted the lid on a new channel venture designed to address demand for reseller skills around enterprise mobility and desktop virtualisation services.

The new Partner Accelerator programme has been designed to align channel sales and delivery models across a single framework addressing deployment of Cisco Virtualised Experince Infrastructure (VXI) with Citrix XenDesktop solution, combining virtual desktops, voice and video on datacentre, network and collaboration infrastructure.
The programme includes the usual perks around sales and marketing resources, proof-of-concept and assessment funding, as well as unique partner branding for resellers that complete the required investments.
"The Partner Accelerator [is] the next step in the evolution of our partnership with Cisco, arms our joint partners with the tools and training they need to build more strategic relationships with customers and grow their business by increasing revenue and shortening the sales and implementation cycle," said Citrix's Cynthia Gallant, VP of worldwide channel strategy and market development.
Computacenter solutions director Pierre Hall added: "It's a compelling initiative that will support our go-to-market propositions and enable [us] to better meet the needs of our customers."
