Avnet Technology Solutions is expanding iits SolutionsPath vertical market scheme across Europe after a successful experience with the programme in the UK.
The distributor launched the SolutionsPath programme, where it provides resellers with help cracking specialised growth markets, in the UK back in January promoting Bruce Hockin to run the strategy in the UK.
The SolutionsPath practices cover storage and data management, datacentre optimisation and virtualisation, unified communications, collaboration and mobility and cloud computing.
"We've already had huge success with SolutionsPath in the United States and the UK," said Wayne Gratton, SolutionsPath business development director at Avnet Technology Solutions, EMEA. "The feedback from our business partners is that this is exactly what IT solutions distributors should be doing to support their business."
He added that resellers liked the mix of marketing and customer selling skills that were being passed on, "as opposed to simply focusing on product training".
