Scale-out storage solutions vendor Scale Computing has introduced a new partner programme placing a greater emphasis on its Preferred and Select resellers.

The SME-specialist claims to have seen 95 per cent growth in its partner programme in the past 12 months as smaller firms move towards server virtualisation.
According to vice president of business development and marketing, Peter Fuller, Scale now needed to "create a more scalable programme that not only strengthens relationships with our partners but does even more to enable their succes."
To this end the firm has invested in additional partner technical training, product and industry education, as well as marketing programmes to encourage VARs to upsell its kit over rivals such as HP and Dell, whose channels it is explicitly targeting.
Partners at the top, Preferred level, will also get access to joint marketing programmes and resources, marketing roadmaps, MDF and Scale generated leads.
Earlier this week the firm appointed the services of VAD CMS Peripherals in the UK and Ireland to support its aims.
