Zycko and ExactTrack take new mobile opportunity to the channel

Distribution firm Zycko signs mobile data protection ExactTrak to its portfolio, expanding mobile security portfolio

Distributor Zycko has signed mobile data protection and data loss prevention provider ExactTrak to its vendor solution portfolio, expanding its mobile security offering to the channel.

ExactTrak’s portfolio of patented mobile data protection products have been designed to meet the growing security needs of remote and mobile users. High profile cases of data and device loss has caused growing concern amongst businesses and consumers alike and recent legal changes mean organisations could face significant fines if they fail to adequately protect sensitive information.

Zycko’s group technical director, Rob Clark, said: “Recent high profile reports of lost or stolen data from mobile devices, across a number of different industries, provides a strong reminder of the detrimental impact of data loss from both a financial and reputational perspective.”

Security Guardian from ExactTrak  has been developed with the UK MOD, Home Office, leading businesses and hardware manufacturers, and the secure USB device can encrypt, GPS track and remotely destroy sensitive data in the event of a security breach or loss.

“ExactTrak’s Security Guardian product is the only mobile device that allows the tracking and destruction of mobile data remotely,” continued Clark. “ExactTrak is an exciting addition to Zycko’s growing security and protection solution that monitors, prevents and mitigates the risk of data loss.”

The Security Guardian solution offers a centralised management console, enabling users to manage multiple USB devices on the move without them having to be attached to a laptop or PC.  The devices can be tracked across the globe, movements reported, and if the device is compromised it can be switched off…or destroyed at the touch of a button.

“We are pleased to partner with Zycko to expand our sales channel. Zycko was the obvious choice for ExactTrak due to its proven expertise in selling managed services, and strong track record in taking next generation technologies that solve real business challenges to market,” commented Simon Cuthbert, sales and marketing director at ExactTrak.  “We look forward to the growth and opportunities that this relationship will bring to both companies.”
