Exclusive Group brings marketing exeuctive in from vendor partner

Exclusive Group has brought a marketing and comms expert on board to coordinate its communication efforts across all parts of the business

Exclusive Group has turned to vendor land to find a marketing expert who can come into the distributor's business and co-ordinate its activity across all parts of the firm's operations.

Hada Hughes joins Exclusive as director of marcomms and programmes from Aerohive Networks, where she had been handling channel marketing and has a CV that stretches back over two decades including spells in the financial services sector.

Her role will be to coordinate all marketing across Exclusive Networks, Big Technology, Exclusive Capital and the ITEC brands and she joins at a time when the distributor is looking to deepen the amount of activity it does in its existing territories.

"As well as underpinning much of the great marketing work we do alongside our vendor and reseller partners, her skills will be put to good work communicating the Exclusive Group value-added services propositions, and explaining to the world how we are truly disrupting distribution in an ever-evolving market," said Barrie Desmond, COO at Exclusive Group.

Hughes said that she came to the role with a good understanding of what Exclusive did because of her stint at one of its vendor partners and of the challenge ahead.

"Exclusive was already so different from the rest of the VAD market and, with extra comprehensive services capabilities into 100 countries, we keep on adding more value and growing more business opportunity," she said.

Exclusive has only recently established its Capital operation after buying Fibail, a French leasing and finance specialist, and intends doing something on that front in the UK as well as Germany, which should keep Hughes busy along with its general plans to boost the services side of the business over the course of 2015.
