With 25 years plus heritage in the industry, Aston brings extensive experience around datacentre services, operations, management, service delivery and solution development to the table, Logicalis said.
Reporting to UK MD Mark Starkey, Aston will take over the Optimal services portfolio, which Logicalis says “enables a balanced approach to owning, operating and funding infrastructure and IT services.
“Globally, as Logicalis looks to standardise its services to provide customers with a common experience and single point of engagement through its Optimal Services Framework, Logicalis in the UK is committed to ensuring its teams consist of the industry’s most capable service professionals,” said Starkey. “We believe Richard is a shining example of this in the industry.”
Aston added: “Organisations today want to gain maximum business value from their investments in IT and to have cost-effective and efficient services that will deliver real value to their customers and stakeholders. They are also looking to drive innovation and business advantage through the appropriate use of IT technology and services, and Logicalis has a fantastic capability that can be leveraged to help them achieve this goal.
“I look forward to working with my fellow members of the senior management team to grow this important part of the business,” he said.
