Griffin launches hybrid cloud service for partners

Network services provider launches first hybrid cloud offering backed by parent Easynet and hybrid specialist Zynstra

Griffin, the networking services and business internet specialist acquired in 2012 by network integrator MDNX, has launched its first hybrid cloud proposition to the channel.

Backed by Easynet – which Griffin was folded into following the former’s acquisition by MDNX last year – and hybrid cloud specialist Zynstra, Griffin claims its new service will help level the playing field for its SME customers by giving them access to apps and services that were previously out of reach.

On the channel side, said Griffin, its network of networking VARs and white-label services providers would open up new revenue streams and margin opportunities with a corporate-grade IT solution including on-site and remote back-up, mobility, security, internet access and control and hosted MS Exchange, along with the usual cloud perks around cost control and scalability.

Easynet MD of UK indirect business markets, Mike Ayres, said the service would go some way to alleviating worries around complexity, cost, security and resilience.

“In reality the cloud is one of the safest, most cost-effective places for data. This is where our resellers come in: they can dispel the cloud computing myths, offer unrivalled market knowledge and provide impartial expertise and advice,” he explained.

Graham Bromham, MD at Griffin partner Solsis, added: “For the reseller, this solution is perfect as it delivers all the IT services a business needs in one fantastic product. It removes the headache of us having to manage multiple products from multiple vendors.

“With several quick wins already under our belt and more in the pipeline, it’s a winner for us already.”
