Channel moves: Who’s gone where?

Personnel moves from Nearformm GTDC, SolarWinds, KnowBe4 and Acumatica all caught the eye this past week

The eternal hunt for talent continued across the channel last week, with several firms adding and promoting quality candidates.

Nearform

The artificial intelligence (AI) engineering firm has appointed Deepak Ramchandani Vensi as its global head of consulting. A CV that stretches over a decade and a half, filled with relevant experience at HPE, Contino and Mesh-AI made him the ideal candidate.

Ciarán Cosgrave, Nearform’s CEO, stated: “Internally, he’ll lead the connection between our sales, solutions and delivery capabilities. Externally, he’ll drive a consulting-led approach, which helps our enterprise clients navigate the ambiguity and complexity of AI solutions and transformation. This forms part of our ongoing mission to partner with enterprises for AI-native delivery that translates into measurable results.”

Global Technology Distribution Council

The GTDC has welcomed Johannes Kamleitner, senior-vice president of go-to-market EMEA at ConnectWise, to its EMEA Vendor Advisory Council. The idea of the select group is to bring together technology and channel leaders to discuss the key priorities that should be considered by distribution and the broader partner ecosystems.

SolarWinds

The observability and IT management player has rolled out the red carpet to welcome the arrival of Justin Henkel as its chief information security officer. He comes with a CV that stretches over more than two decades and includes time at the likes of OneTrust, the United States Air Force from 2001 to 2025 and leadership roles at CME Group and iSight Partners.

“As the threat landscape grows more complex and threat actors more sophisticated, we need a CISO who has operated at the highest levels of both public and private sector security,” said Sudhakar Ramakrishna, president and CEO of SolarWinds. “Justin’s breadth of experience across government and industry makes him exceptionally well-positioned to strengthen our resilience posture as we continue to push the boundaries of what’s possible in AI-driven IT.”

KnowBe4

The workforce security player has welcomed Alex Callihan as chief technology officer. It is a well-earned promotion for Callihan, who has been with the organisation for more than nine years as senior vice-president of engineering.

“Alex has been an invaluable leader within our engineering organisation for nearly a decade, instrumental in scaling our technical capabilities,” said Bryan Palma, CEO of KnowBe4. “As we navigate a new era of digital workforce security where securing both AI agents and humans is paramount, Alex’s expertise and vision make him the perfect choice to lead our next generation research and development. His leadership will be critical as we continue to pioneer innovative, AI-driven defence solutions for our customers worldwide.”

Acumatica

The ERP player has appointed Roman Bukary as its senior vice-president of partner strategy and programmes. He comes in with more than two decades of experience at SaaS and AI players.

“Roman understands that thriving partners create thriving customers,” said Sanket Akerkar, president and chief operating officer at Acumatica. “He has spent his career building and scaling successful channel programs and go-to-market organisations across enterprise SaaS, and his expertise in partner ecosystem development and ERP solutions will help strengthen our channel-first approach, expand partner opportunities and deliver even greater value to the customers we serve together.”
