Channel moves: Who’s gone where?
We look over the personnel moves of note in the past week at HP, Jigsaw24, TD Synnex, One Identity, Securonix, ALE International, Tata Communications, LightSpeed Networks, Nearform and Quocirca
There has been a bumper crop of appointments in the past week, including some senior ones that directly impact the channel, as more across the industry look for fresh talent. Moves this week span the vendor, distributor, reseller and systems integrator communities.
HP
The vendor has announced that Mark Davitt will take on the role of UK&I channel director, succeeding Neil MacDonald, who has been appointed vice-president and general manager for HP’s commercial channel business in the US.
Davitt comes with more than 25 years’ experience, including 13 at HP. “I am delighted to be taking on the role of UK&I channel sales director at such an exciting time for our business and our partners. The channel remains central to HP’s success, and I look forward to building on the strong relationships we have across the market, supporting our partners’ growth ambitions, and continuing to deliver value for customers together,” said Davitt.
Jigsaw24
The channel player has rolled out the red carpet for Alan Henry, who joins as head of sales for media and entertainment. His CV stretches back for more than two-and-a-half decades and includes spells at ES Broadcast, Grass Valley Miranda, Paragon Bank, Barco and Snell & Wilcox.
“Alan’s breadth of experience across every stage of the broadcast technology supply chain makes him an outstanding addition to our leadership team,” says Abdul Terry, chief revenue officer at Jigsaw24. “He understands not only the technology our customers rely on, but also the commercial and operational challenges they face. As the industry continues to evolve, his expertise will help ensure we’re delivering the strategic guidance and end-to-end solutions our customers need.”
TD Synnex
The distributor has appointed Amy Brady as sales director – major accounts, UK and Ireland. She has been with the distributor for almost a decade and was most recently Dell EMC business unit director, UK&I.
James Reed, vice-president of endpoint solutions and interim sales vice-president for the UK and Ireland and TD Synnex, welcomed Brady’s appointment. “With her extensive experience and industry knowledge, in-depth understanding of our organisation and partner needs, and her ability to build strong business relationships, Amy has all the right qualities to thrive in this pivotal role within our sales team,” said Reed.
One Identity
The unified identity governance player has appointed Marianne Van Der Pluym as EMEA channel and alliances director and Tracey Mead as North America channel and alliances director. The pair will lead channel strategy in their respective regions.
“Partners play an increasingly important role in helping organisations adopt and manage modern identity security solutions, and strong channel leadership is essential to supporting that success,” said Ian Sutherland, chief revenue officer at One Identity. “Marianne and Tracey both have a clear point of view about where partners are heading: away from resale, toward managed services and outcome-based engagement, and into depth around specific domains like identity. That direction is where we are taking our partner programme.”
Securonix
The security information and event management (SIEM) specialist has appointed Toby Weiss as CEO as the business looks to a fresh pair of hands to drive the firm forward. He comes with a CV that spans three decades, with experience at the likes of Fiery, Application Security and CA Technologies.
“Toby brings a powerful combination of cyber security expertise, enterprise software leadership and operational excellence,” said Nadeem Syed, executive chairman of the Securonix board and senior managing director at Vista Equity Partners. “Security operations are at an inflection point as organisations move from alert-driven tools toward AI-powered execution. Toby has spent his career scaling businesses through pivotal technology transitions, and we are confident in his ability to lead Securonix forward.”
Tata Communications
The firm has made a couple of leadership additions, appointing Rupesh Chokshi as executive vice-president and global business head for network services and chief technology officer (CTO), and Vivek Srivastava as executive vice-president and business head for cloud and cyber security services.
Ganesh Lakshminarayanan, managing director and CEO of Tata Communications, stated: “I am delighted to welcome both Rupesh and Vivek to the team as we strengthen our leadership bench to drive innovation and growth. Rupesh’s expertise in next-generation networks and AI-led infrastructure, along with Vivek’s strong leadership in cloud and cyber security, will further enhance our ability to serve as the operating backbone for enterprise AI needs.”
LightSpeed Networks
The firm’s infrastructure business, which provides business connectivity, wholesale and network services, has appointed Matthew Partridge as managing director. He comes with more than 30 years’ experience and has worked at Colt Technology Services, among others.
Liam Hickey, CEO of LightSpeed Group, said: “The businesses and partners we work with need a connectivity provider that takes genuine ownership of the outcome, not just the contract. What we are building at LightSpeed Networks is the infrastructure, the operational model and the commercial leadership to deliver exactly that. Matthew and Ashley further strengthen our commercial leadership, enabling us to take that proposition to market with even greater depth and clarity. That is what our customers and partners deserve.”
Nearform
The artificial intelligence (AI)-native engineering specialist has appointed Clifton Cunningham as senior vice-president of advisory and alliances. He brings over 20 years of experience and previously led the technology function at Mail Online. More recently, he spent over eight years at Infinitas Learning.
Nearform’s CEO, Ciarán Cosgrave, commented: “Clifton will lead our continued growth in the AI ecosystem, by securing new partnerships and strategic relationships across global tech leaders, in our continued pursuit of delivering excellence in AI-native engineering for our enterprise clients.”
Quocirca
The analyst firm that focuses on the print and digital imaging sector, including the activities of the channel in that space, has welcomed Mick Heys as global head of advisory. In the role, Heys will lead the operational development of the firm’s advisory practice.
Louella Fernandes, CEO of Quocirca, stated: “His depth of experience, industry relationships and understanding of the print, imaging and future workplace markets will be invaluable as we continue to build on Quocirca’s differentiated position and expand our advisory capabilities.”
