Dell looks to integrate Wyse resellers into PartnerDirect
Having wrapped up the acquisition of Wyse Dell has made integrating resellers from the thin client specialist into its own channel programme a priority.

Emerging revenue opportunities for the channel with digital transformation
Digital transformation is a phrase that means many things to many people but for it to have any real relevance to the channel then it needs to mean a chance to make money. This guide will share some of the recent developments in the channel and the latest thoughts about the issue.
Dell completed the purchase for an undisclosed sum of Wyse, announced last month, as it looked to broaden its capabilities in cloud and specifically the desktop virtualisation space.
As well as increasing sales of desktop virtualisation solutions the vendor is also looking to bolt-on additional sales of servers, networking products and storage as well as services and to gain those is making sure its existing partners as well as Wyse resellers are part of the same programme.
"Dell recognizes the success of the Wyse business and wants to extend and grow it. One area of focus is Wyse's channel program and migrating their existing partners into Dell's PartnerDirect program to leverage the best of Wyse's program to strengthen ours," wrote Jeff Clarke, vice chairman and president, Global Operations and End User Computing Solutions at Dell, in a blog post.
"An additional benefit to Wyse's channel members is that they will now have access to all Dell products, which we expect to open up new opportunities," he added.
