Ingram Micro extends SME credit scheme

Ingram Micro has taken the decision to keep its Credit Builder scheme going for a fifth year increasing the amount of funds available to resellers

In a move designed to keep the SME business flowing Ingram Micro has taken the decision to extend its Credit Builder programme for a fifth year.

The distributor kicked off the scheme, which offers resellers the chance to build a credit facility of up to £100,000 in a 12 month period, back in 2008 and is extending the number of eligible customers.

In the next year the distributor his increasing the amount of credit available to resellers from the current £80m up to £150m.

"At the same time, we expect to introduce CreditBuilder to an additional 900 customers who have not yet taken advantage of the offering and could see an immediate financial benefit for their business," said Matt Sanderson, managing director at Ingram Micro.

"We are offering more monthly credit in the SMB segment, and bringing the potential for short-term growth and long term development to even more resellers," he added.
