The UK arm of internet security vendor BitDefender has signed a distribution agreement with EntaTech with the emphasis on reaching local independent system builders, resellers and network integrators usually overlooked by larger security firms.

EntaTech will distribute BitDefender's OEM, retail and business licensing offerings, including its home user products and a new BitDefender Business Solutions package.

BitDefender northern Europe managing director Peter Barlow said the firm had "ambitious plans" for the UK market.

Added EntaTech software channel manager Matt Caffery: "[This] will allow us to provide BitDefender a broader platform and dedicated support for expansion, enabling them to strengthen their position within the marketplace."
