Oki driving mono message through Q4

Oki is hoping a couple of campaigns will tempt more users to adopt its latest colour printers on the basis that mono is not going to be expensive

Oki Europe has come up with a twist on encouraging users to invest in some fresh printer hardware and arm its channel with a promotion that should get some spending flowing through Q4.

The vendor is offering businesses free mono printing for a year on certain models in an effort to encourage users to buy its latest LED colour printers and MFDs.

The 'Maximum colour, zero mono cost' deal runs from now until the end of the year and should gives users some flexibility with the print budget to generate more mono and colour pages.

The printers included in the promotion have been designed to produce mono at the same price as a purely black and white model.

As well as the free mono offer the vendor is also driving a campaign to promote the benefits of printing black and white on colour machines under the banner 'Big on colour, small on mono costs’.

The vendor has matched the mono printing costs of office colour printers and MFPs with mono options byreducing the prices of black toner for the promoted models.

The vendor that believes that combined with the free printing offer the dual campaigns will arm the channel with reasons to get customers reviewing their printer estates.

“They have been designed to give every kind of business access to professional quality colour printing, while keeping a lid on costs," Tetsuya Kuri, vice president marketing, OKI Europe.

"Printing mono on these devices costs no more than using a mono printer. Furthermore, with our fantastic offer of free mono printing for a year, customers can experience how our professional quality colour printing and unrivalled media flexibility allows businesses the best of both worlds," he added.

The deal covers the C332dn, C500 Series, C800 series printer or a MC363dn, MC500 Series or MC800 Series MFP.
