Wick Hill has added Tenable network Security to its vendor roster after concluding that the monitoring specialist could offer resellers an opportunity to tap into a growing market.
The decision to sign the vendor culminates almost twelve months of discussion between the distributor and vendor and comes at a time when penetration testing and network monitoring continue to be sought after by users.
Ian Kilpatrick, chairman of Wick Hill Group, said that the services that were being offered by the US vendor included the continuous monitoring and the chance to track that activity in a SecurityCenter.
"Tenable has a very large installed base in the UK and this is a revenue stream that comes from renewals every year and the market is growing strongly," he said.
Kilpatrick added that it did not have anything similar in its portfolio and would be able to add the Tenable offering to its reseller customer base as a tool that would provide "very clever differentation" to customers keen to keep on top of cyber threats.
"It allows continuous network monitoring, discovery and event management along with vunerability and datab leakage protection. It works for SMEs right up to the large enterprises," he said.
Wayne Hollinshead, director of channel sales EMEA, Tenable Network Security, said that it had chosen a distributor that had a reputation for adding value and delivering security solutions to partners.
“[Wick Hill is] an ideal partner for Tenable as we continue to expand our position as the leading provider of continuous network monitoring solutions in the UK and globally," he said.
