Double signing extends Westcoast's reach as a CSP

Westcoast continues to add more services to support its Microsoft CSP status

Westcoast has made a double signing to strengthen its cloud product offering and provide more options to those resellers pitching Office 365.

The distributor has signed up Cirius and eFolder's Cloudfinder service bolstering its position as one of Microsoft's Cloud Solution Providers (CSP).

Westcoast signed up to be a CSP earlier this year as one of the vendor's two-tier partners helping support resellers that wanted to provide monthly billing for a range of services, including Office 365.

Since then the channel player has been looking to bring on board complementary products and services that would help resellers develop a wider solution that could be taken out to customers.

The Cirius product gives an option to provide more in-depth email support with encryption, large file transfer and tracking.

the Cloudfinder service from eFolder gives the Office 365 reseller sale the chance to add some backup, which promises to never expire, and cover off the issue of data storage.

Since becoming a CSP back in February the distributor has already signed some complimentary vendors to offer migration, mobile management and archiving.

Mark Davies, cloud services director for Westcoast, said that the two vendors both provided services that would appeal to users.

“Continuity and security are critical in the minds of most customers when taking cloud based services. Cirius and eFolder compliment the service wrap around Office 365 and strengthen the security already available with the package. We’ve tested them extensively ourselves and love the flexibility and ease of use that partners and their customers look for," he said.

Davies joined Westcoast just a couple of months ago in August with a specific brief to enhance the distributor's position as a CSP and to develop more services that could extend its offering.
