Chess buys again picking up The CRM Business

Chess has made its twelfth buy of the year with Microsoft gold partner The CRM Business

Chess has sealed its twelfth acquisition of the year after picking up Microsoft Gold Partner The CRM Business as it makes a move into the cloud arena with the hosted business intelligence offering.

The CRM Business operates from offices in Sheffield and Manchester and will continue to operate as before under Chess ownership under the terms of the undisclosed deal.

Chess CEO David Pollock said that the latest acquisition gave it a chance to make a strategic move into becoming a cloud business solutions seller and viewed customer relationship management as a solid starting point.

“Customer Relationship Management software is at the heart of every business. Chess have been keen to acquire a cloud CRM software business to enhance our customer offering," he said.

"We’re extremely excited to have The CRM Business as part of the Chess Group, with our support they’re set to capitalize on their market-leading position with Microsoft Dynamics CRM and its fast worldwide sales growth. Innovative products and services create new and exciting opportunities for our businesses, people, partners and customers," he added.

In response, The CRM Business managing director Roger Collins said that with the muscle of Chess to lean on it expected to grow more rapidly, particularly in the telecoms sector.
