Sage launches global partner programme for accountants

Five months after launching its global partner framework, Sage is now bringing accountants into the fold with its Global Accountant Partner Programme

Sage today announced the launch of its Global Accountant Partner Programme, designed to streamline relationships with accountants and help them grow their business.

The Global Accountant Partner Programme will form part of Sage’s Global Partner Programme, providing a single framework for accountants worldwide.

The peer-led programme will be free to join, and will provide educational resources, marketing consultancy and funding to aid partner growth. Partners will also be able to become fully accredited across Sage’s global portfolio, including Sage One, Sage Live, Sage Impact and Sage X3.

“In partnership the whole is greater than the sum of its parts,” said Alan Laing executive vice president, Partnerships & Alliances. “At Sage we delight in supporting our accounting partners from around the globe to transform and grow their practices. Importantly, this programme is designed by and for Accountants to both bring real value to all of our partners, and to help them deliver inspiring services to their clients.”

Lisa Bruce is director of Acumen Accounts & Advisors, a Sage partner. Bruce said that Acumen welcomed the new programme.

“This is an opportunity to grow our practice and, through our joint expertise, provide our clients with the relevant software from the product range, tailored training, priority support, as well as information on the latest release features,” she said. “As our clients’ businesses grow, they can rest assured that our partnership with Sage will bring them the very best the market has to offer.”

Until last year, Sage’s channel efforts differed depending on geographic location. The simplified four-tiered engagement model was launched in November to provide a unified channel programme to SIs, VARs, ISVs, and developers across all regions. The expanded programme now opens the doors to accountants.
