Channel catch-up: News in brief

Developments this week at 11:11 Systems, Ignition Technology, Phoenix Software, Bechtle, Keepit and BCE

A mixture of distribution vendor signings, strategic partnerships and efforts by one channel player to inspire the next generation caught the eye over the past working week.

11:11 Systems: The managed infrastructure player has launched its managed secure access service edge (SASE) solution and sealed a strategic partnership with Cato Networks. The managed service option will lean on the vendor’s network security capabilities.

“Enterprises are under pressure to support users, applications and locations that are more distributed than ever, while limiting complexity and improving security,” said Justin Giardina, chief technology officer at 11:11 Systems. “Our Managed SASE solution provides customers with a unified approach to modernising networking and security, along with the visibility, support and flexibility they need to thrive in a rapidly changing environment.”

Ignition Technology: The distributor has been signed by trust specialist DigiCert to provide DigiCert One to partners across the UK and Ireland, DACH, France, Benelux and the Nordics.

“Across EMEA, organisations are facing increasingly complex security, operational and regulatory challenges as they embrace AI, modernise infrastructure and prepare for the post-quantum era,” said Sean Remnant, chief strategy officer at Ignition Technology. “They don’t need more disconnected tools. They need a platform that simplifies complexity, helps them move faster and gives them confidence they’re ready for what’s next.”

Phoenix Software: The public sector specialist has opened its doors to students from years 9 and 12 from Kelvin Hall School and Wyke College in Hull to get a taste of what it could be like to have a technology career. Working alongside Humberside Police and local technology company Purify, students were able to develop their digital skills.

Jennifer Clewley, ESG lead at Phoenix Software, said: “For many young people, particularly those who may not have considered a career in technology, the industry can feel inaccessible. Our aim is to show that there are multiple pathways into the sector and that skills such as creativity, communication, problem-solving and teamwork are just as important as technical expertise. By working with local schools and colleges, we’re helping students understand the opportunities available on their doorstep and inspiring the next generation of digital talent.”

Enterprise and public sector solutions

Bechtle: The distributor has achieved the Nvidia AI Factory Specialisation after demonstrating its capabilities around designing and deploying enterprise and public sector solutions.

“By expanding our long-standing partnership, we are bringing together the capabilities needed to help our customers tap into the rapidly expanding field of AI with confidence,” said Michael Guschlbauer, chief operating officer at Bechtle. “Our goal is to actively drive the AI transformation in Europe and deliver measurable value for organisations of different sizes and across a wide range of industries.”

Keepit: The data protection player is now available on Pax8, getting its wares on the marketplace that focuses on MSPs targeting the small and medium-sized enterprise customer base.

“Partners need SaaS data protection that is simple to deliver, easy to manage and relevant to how customers actually use cloud applications today,” said Phillip Seigenfeld, global director of MSP and cloud distribution at Keepit. “Expanding access through the Pax8 Marketplace helps partners broaden their backup offering while reducing operational friction, and opens a meaningful opportunity to grow across the entire SaaS estate.”

BCE: The firm has sealed a strategic partnership with Embrace to integrate Pulse-IT as the orchestration layer of its media-as-a-service platform. The additional technology will provide more options around connection, automation and management of media operations.

“Pulse-IT enhances the orchestration capabilities of our media-as-a-service platform, allowing us to further leverage its potential,” said Florence Diers, product director at BCE. “It enables us to automate increasingly sophisticated workflows, connect technologies seamlessly and deliver scalable solutions more quickly, while keeping operations simple for our customers.”
