WestconGroup launches new marketing services programme

In an attempt to plug the skills gap amongst resellers, WestconGroup has launched a new Marketing Services Programme.

WestconGroup today announced a new marketing services programme, which will provide resellers with access to network of leading marketing agencies.

The VAD says that the objective of the new programme is to plug the skills gap for resellers that don’t have access to marketing resources.

Social media training, PR, content delivery and management, demand generation, design, video and animation and web analytics will all be accessible via the programme, available to partners at discounted rates.

WestconGroup conducted a survey to better understand where it could add value and found that the majority of resellers were struggling to keep on top of marketing.

“Our survey demonstrated that 57% of partners are too busy with their day jobs to keep up to speed with the latest marketing specialisations,” said John Richardson, UK marketing director. “The WestconGroup Marketing Services Programme is a flexible initiative, enabling resellers to select different marketing disciplines from the marketing toolbox to create an integrated comprehensive marketing strategy – all from a single point of procurement to simplify processes and business.”

Carmen Ehret will join WestconGroup from Siemens to head up the project.  “I am delighted to join WestconGroup, the technology industry is a fast-paced and challenging environment and I am pleased to be part of that,” Ehret said.
