Sage has taken the wraps off a couple of certification programmes for developers as it looks to increase the third party support and involvement with its ERP X3 product.
The vendor views developers as a key factor in its future and hopes that the changes to its certifications will attract more to the fold and help it expand its ecosystem.
The certified development professional and certified solutions programmes have been running in the US since October and from today have been launched in the UK, France, Spain and Portugal.
The development professional certification is designed to get individuals recognised for their skills and the solution programme will help developers get their solutions based on Sage ERP X3 given the thumbs up from the vendor.
“Developers are key to Sage’s success, and we are committed to building long-term relationships with them. These new programmes will serve to expand the Sage Developer eco-system and our growing range of complementary integrated solutions,” said Jayne Archbold, CEO for mid-market Europe and chairman of the Sage ERP X3 Governance Board.
“By joining the Sage Certified Programs, our customers can be assured that developers are maintaining the appropriate skill sets needed to develop, deliver and support integrated solutions for Sage ERP X3," she added.
Sage has invited software developer V1 to become the first to sign up to the programme and its managing director Janette Martin said that its document management solutions developed for ERP X3 was already used widely in the market.
“Today we continue to work closely with many Sage business partners across the entire product range and we look forward to developing our Sage ERP X3 partnership further," she added "This endorsement will enable us to present our solutions to even more partners, customers and prospects.”
