Cloud services specialist Intermedia continues to bolster its senior management team as it looks to increase the level of support it can offer channel partners.
Just a few months after it appointed Aidan Simister as sales director for EMEA the firm has hired Jarmila Yu as director of marketing across EMEA. She has a CV that includes spells at IBM and Kaspersky Lab.
The firm is ramping up its commitment to the channel and has recently madea pledge to resellers that it will never come into conflict as part of a relaunched partner programme.
At the same time as making the no-compete pledge the firm also introduced some increased commission offers for partners that sell its data services and is introducing a discount offer for those resellers that opt to use Intermedia technology in-house.
There were also some improvements on the leads front with a referral programme being introduced to reward those resellers that pass them on as well as an indication that the vendor will provide more for partners.
One of the first tasks for Yu is to help support the ongoing channel recruitment efforts, which includes a Cloud Insights event later this month, and to make sure the tools are there to help partners come on board easily with the vendor.
Simister said that Yu shared the vision of growing the business through working with channel partners and the potential for further expansion.
In response Yu said that there was a buzz around the company: “It’s an organisation capable of helping businesses be brilliant – allowing them to focus on their core day-to-day activities by taking away the layers of complications traditional IT has brought to many over the years."
