Seagate today launched a range of new storage products and services to sit within its Cloud Systems and Solutions strategy.
The bolstering of its storage portfolio includes the Seagate ClusterStor 9000, a high performance Lustre-based solution for Big Data customers, as well as the Seagate EVault, an enterprise backup and recovery appliance.
The storage specialist also launched a PCIe flash accelerator card – the Nytro XP6302 and its eight generation of enterprise hard drives. In a statement, Seagate said that, thanks to the new additions, it was the first and only company to deliver hard drives, solid-state hybrid drives, SSDs, external storage solutions, recovery services, cloud services and fully integrated cloud systems and solutions.
“Organizations are looking for cost-effective ways to harness data and create actionable information. Seagate is bringing an open approach to the Intelligent Information Infrastructure program,” Jamie Lerner, president of Cloud Systems and Solutions at Seagate. “We are applying our experience working with cloud service providers worldwide to create systems and solutions that manage next generation workloads with the scale, performance and economy aligned to business needs.”
