Arrow ECS became the latest distributor to unveil its response to the cloud launching its services aggregation and brokerage platform ArrowSphere to the European reseller community.
The distributor is pitching ArrowSphere at solution providers, system integrators, ISVs and service specialists giving the channel the chance to sell a range of enterprise and midmarket solutions.
The aggregated services will include SaaS, storage, platform and infrastructure as a service from a range of vendors and launches from 11 July in the UK.
“By offering turnkey webstores that address the needs of today’s and future businesses, we bridge the gap between cloud service provider innovation and solution provider market reach,” said Laurent Sadoun, president of the EMEA region for Arrow ECS.
“This approach represents the much-needed catalyst that can drive significant cloud adoption through the channel over the next five years," he added.
Arrow ECS follows in the footsteps of other distributors, including Ingram Micro, C2000 and ComputerLinks and Magirus, that have formulated cloud strategies.
The most common approach has been to provide an aggregation of services that resellers can sell to customers individually or combine to form a wider solution.
Sadoun said that resellers played a key role in supporting small and medium enterprises and those customers were moving to the cloud, creating a significant opportunity for the channel.
