Emulex signs Comstor distie pact to target datacentre transition
Cisco distribution house Comstor has added high-performance storage networking specialist Emulex to its line-card to boost the complementary options available to resellers marketing Cisco's Unified Compute (UCS) portfolio.
Cisco distribution house Comstor has added high-performance storage networking specialist Emulex to its line-card to boost the complementary options available to resellers marketing Cisco's Unified Compute (UCS) portfolio.
"Cisco and Emulex are enabling the unified datacentre transition with [Cisco] Nexus switches and [Emulex] OneConnect adapters. Deploying OneConnect with Nexus supports easier and faster datacentre virtualisation in 10GbE environments," explained Comstor datacenter business development manager, Russell Blackburn.
Emulex's Craig Skelton added: "When we looked at the Cisco market it was obvious we would need a go-to-market partner with the relationships and momentum to break us out into motivated Cisco datacentre partners."
Comstor said the agreement would complement its LEAP programme, launched a year ago, which is designed to support Cisco's channel plans around its UCS and Unified Fabric Technology (UFT) lines.
Meanwhile, a separate promotion will offer partners the ability to secure extra margin on combined OneConnect and Nexus deals when registered through the distie.
