Just days after talking of its plans to review and expand its channel operations Corel has inked a contract with Ingram Micro.
The decision to appoint another distribution partner to sit alongside Computers Unlimited and Gem is a move designed to bring on board more resellers and grow the software vendor's market share.
The decision to appoint Ingram in the UK has been made by the recently appointed sales director Niels van der Valk who earlier this week set out his ambitions to get the brand more widely recognised in the channel.
Back on Monday the company was describing his mission to include "new channel partnerships and distributors via Corel's partner programme, heavily promoting Corel's growing product portfolio and capitalising on new and developing industries."
Just four days later the vendor has announced the Ingram appointment which van der Valk described as a way of widening its reach: "We need a better reseller sell through and more different partners."
To back up its determination to bring fresh resellers on board the software vendor has an online hub where partners can gain information and find out about Corel's various dealer programmes.
