Resellers with sustainable credentials and datacentre expertise are being targeted to add some muscle to the Green Unbreakable Cloud Iniative (GUCI).
The group, established by a collection of vendors including Amplidata, A-Server, Dacentec and Racktivity, aims to encourage the development of cloud infrastructures that are based on green datacentres.
Just using the channels of existing members the group already has a potential network of 5,000 resellers across Europe.
But GUCI is looking to expand that further by adding more vendors to its roster as well as resellers that it can use as examples of good practice.
"We are also looking to bring more partners into GUCI and provide a benchmark for innovation that is driven from Europe based on real world examples and best practice that spans multiple disciplines," said Kristof De Spiegeleer, CEO for Incubaid, one of the founding members of GUCI.
GUCI is recruiting an additional staff to help its expansion ambitions and support its activities across Europe.
"We are in the process now of recruiting around 30 people across engineering, implementation, sales and supporting roles that want to work on projects that will help define new paradigms in our industry," added De Spiegeleer.
