Chess bolsters cloud reach with Integra ICT buy

Chess has acquired Integra ICT as it looks to increase its reach in the cloud market

Serial channel acquirer Chess has been active in the market again picking up Integra ICT as the firm looks to gain an even greater foothold in the cloud and general ICT markets.

The acquisition of Integra ICT, which is based in Bedfordshire and employs 37 staff with revenues in the £5m region, follows on from numerous deals that Chess has made over the past 18 months as it strengthens its position in the market.

Following the examples of other deals involving ebillz and The CRM Business, which were both acquired by Chess, Integra ICT will retain its own brand and be part of the Chess Group of Companies.

Chess director Richard Btesh, who headed up the deal, said that the deal would position Chess even more firmly as a supplier of choice for SME businesses in the telecoms sector.

“Integra ICT has successfully deployed integrated communication solutions for over 20 years with an outstanding reputation. We’re delighted to welcome their vastly experienced team into the Chess group. We will rely on their knowledge and experience to guide our growth in cloud and ICT," said Chess chief executive David Pollock.

The former owner of Integra ICT Pas Ruggiero said that Chess were the right people to take over the business and had a track record in making successful acquisitions.
