The firm has bagged space at a tech business centre hosted by Reading University to open its European sales office, housing sales and support teams for its customer and partner base across Europe, run by international sales SVP Richard Kirk.
"It is extremely fitting that the Reading office is located in a centre reserved for high-growth technology companies," said Barmak Meftah, AlienVault CEO and president.
"We've already seen over 100% growth in net new customers in 2013 and are firmly on target to carry on with this momentum and more than double bookings for a third year in a row."
He added: “These are exciting times for AlienVault and with our most recent round of funding, we are extremely pleased to be able to open these new offices where we can tap into the immense tech talent that these two locations have to offer.”
The VC-backed Silicon Valley firm claims its unified security management solution is a “fast and cost-effective way” for businesses with limited security expertise or budget to get to grips with threat management and compliance, offering enterprise-class security visibility to SME clients.
At the same time the firm has also opened a new US location in Austin, TX, tapping into the local pool of IT talent to develop its strategic sales, marketing and development plans.
