LDD Group secures multi-million pound NEPA print contract

Leeds-based reseller LDD Group teams up with Samsung to offer public sector print services under the National Education Printer Framework

Yorkshire-based ICT solution provider LDD Group has secured a multi-million pound printer contract with universities and NHS trusts across the UK after partnering with Samsung.

The partnership came about under the auspices of the National Education Printer Agreement (NEPA), which offers public sector organisations printing services at a discounted rate from accredited channel businesses.

Samsung initially approached LDD to provide a bespoke service focusing on the individual needs of around 150 customer accounts.

LDD account manager Matt Hopkinson hailed a “fantastic opportunity for us to expand our share in the public sector”.

“The contract with NEPA spans universities, colleges, NHS trusts and small councils throughout the UK. Samsung approached us because of our customer-focused reputation, and we look forward to exceeding their expectations,” he said.

LDD, which expanded its education commitments earlier this year after buying a local rival Compubyte, holds accreditations from Cisco, HP and VMware, among others. In 2012 it expanded its footprint into telecoms with the intention of providing a more end-to-end solution set.
