John Eady has signaled he is stepping down from his position as managing director of Datashare Solutions at the end of the month leaving the company just more than two years after it was acquired by the Shift F7 Group.
Eady was one of the key players that was involved in the Datashare acquisition in August 2012 and will hand over the responsibility for the management of the company to Shift F7 managing director Nigel Lomas.
In his spell heading the company Eady was also involved in the recent purchase this summer by Datashare Solutions of telco and infrastructure player NJL Communications.
That acquisition, which was accompanied by the investment in a new datacentre in Surrey, was designed to put Datashare Solutions in a strong position to exploit the rising demand for cloud and managed services.
“As a founding director of Datashare Solutions, John has been a key figure and instrumental in the growth and reputation of the company”, said Garry King, chief executive of the Shift F7 Group, “He has worked hard to ensure that the acquisition by the Shift F7 Group has been a success, both for the employees of Datashare Solutions and its customers”.
Lomas, currently the MD of Shift F7, will step into Eady's shoes at Datashare Solutions: “Having worked closely with John and the team at Datashare since the acquisition, I am looking forward to getting more actively involved in the day to day running of the company”.
Datashare was set up in 2000 and is a data management specialist using its own data centre to support customers that are looking for a service that monitors and protects their information.
