According to TechTarget research surveying customers on their IT buying intentions, many are looking to spend on tablets and smart phones this year to deliver staff the option of using more flexible devices.

In addition to spending on devices and management tools customers are also looking to invest in protection to ensure the network and data is not compromised.

The mobile security investment is seen as many as a high priority for this year as they move fairly quickly to ensure that those connecting with their own devices are doing so in a secure environment.

The growth of the consumerisation and the bring your own device (BYOD) trend has been described as some analysts as an unstoppable development in the market and customers are encouraged to make sure they offer flexibility but on terms they are comfortable with.
