News reaches us from the States that just days before Christmas, HP Networking is plotting to snaffle some of Cisco's presents from under the tree.
It has just launched a trade-in programme called 'Catalyst for Change' designed to get Cisco owners to trade in eligible Cisco Catalyst (geddit?) kit and switch to its own A and E Series lines, which it claims deliver up to 66% lower TCO.
HP is keen to take advantage of pent up demand for networking gear and the fact that a lot of Cisco kit is reaching the end of its working life, say Stateside partners.
HP assures us that the scheme is not applicable in the UK, where harmonious relations between the two sparring partners are prevailing over the holiday season.
But who knows if that situation could change?
