England gets nod as next CEO of Nuvias

Distribution veteran Simon England will take up the role at the start of next month at the EMEA wide VAD

Nuvias has shuffled its senior management pack bringing on board a fresh CEO to take the distributor into its next phase of development.

The channel player has turned to a distribution veteran to take the reigns with former Tech Data, Comstor and Ingram Micro staffer Simon England starting from next month.

England has experience running distribution operations over the past couple of decades with most his time being spent in spells at a very senior level, including European managing director at Azlan, regional vp for Europe at Comstor and most recently the svp nextgen technologies & specialist VAD business EMEA at Tech Data.

He will step into Paul Eccleston's shoes as the former CEO moves into the position of executive chairman of the Nuvias Group from the start of next month.

“Nuvias is exceptionally well positioned in a market which continues to grow strongly and is transforming how IT Services are securely delivered and consumed. Nuvias has a unique set of assets, from its expertise and reputation to its partner network and portfolio of market-leading vendors and services. I am excited about the opportunity to build on these foundations and lead the senior management team to take Nuvias to its aggregate potential in EMEA," said England.

Eccleston said that the appointment would give the firm an opportunity to keep the momentum going that it had enjoyed over the past few years and build on its success.

Nuvias emerged in the summer of 2016, after combining the security player Wick Hill and networking expertise of Zycko with backing from Rigby Private Equity. The ambition from the start was to develop an EMEA wide value added distributor.

In the past couple of years the business has expanded through acquisition with UC player Siphon and Benelux region specialist DCB being added to the fold.
