Rubrik formalises programme for ISVs

Cloud data management player Rubrik is looking to build a stronger ecosystem with its latest technology partner programme

Cloud data management player Rubrik has cut the ribbon on a Technology Alliance Programme (TAP) that is open to integration specialists.

The firm has formed a number of relationships with other vendors, including Cisco, Microsoft, Lenovo, VMware and Google Cloud, and is looking to ramp up the involvement of independent software vendors (ISVs) and cloud partners.

The TAP programme has several tiers – foundation, solution and strategic – that will be offering training, support and marketing tools to those that sign up. Those joining the scheme will be added to the existing partner community, including resellers and service providers.

In an era where the ecosystem has real depth and partnerships deliver value, the move by Rubrik mirrors a growing number of vendor moves to ensure that they can get their part of a solution out to as wide an audience as possible.

“Our technology partners are core to Rubrik’s strategy,” said Mike Tornincasa, executive vice-president of worldwide sales at Rubrik. “These partnerships have enabled us to quickly introduce integrated value-added solutions that solve key problems for enterprise customers.”

Rubrik launched its data management SaaS platform Polaris with an open application programming interface (API) architecture in April 2018, and the TAP programme is designed to echo that decision to look out towards the development community.

“Our Technology Alliance Program represents the next step in developing a deep partner ecosystem. TAP enables Rubrik and our partners to offer more paths for customers to get to the cloud, more solutions that save time, and new ways to simplify complex IT infrastructure,” said Ranajit Nevatia, vice-president of business development and alliances at Rubrik.

“We see our customers investing in solutions that simplify, automate and streamline the integration of cloud into their infrastructure,” he added.
