Rubrik emphasises competencies with global partner programme

Backup and data protection specialist launches first global partner programme with plans to reward those partners that gain certifications

Rubrik has rolled out its first global partner programme and highlighted the benefits that will now be on offer to those UK partners that have already been working with the vendor on its local activities.

The firm is launching its Velocity Partner Programme with a view to rewarding those that come to the vendor with certifications and proven competencies.

Those at the top of the programme, the Elite level, will be given a chance to gain MDF, leads and incentives for sales and engineering staff working in partners.

All of the benefits will come into force on 1 February next year, giving partners several months to get ready for the launch.

The vendor is hoping that the incentives and rewards will encourage partners to make investments in cloud and advanced services.

“Through the Velocity Partner Program, Rubrik’s UK reseller partners can take advantage of a number of new benefits and opportunities, including enhanced enablement to build expertise in selling and servicing Rubrik solutions, new incentives and rewards, and access to a new global Partner Technology Advisory Board,” said Roland Stritt, head of channel EMEA at Rubrik.

"As we go to market 100% through the channel, we are deeply committed to our reseller partners and want to enable them to share in our success and momentum to increase their own profitability,” he added.

The firm provided a response from a partner, with Tim Jeans, head of specialist sales at Softcat, welcoming a programme that will reward those that develop their expertise in the backup and data protection market.

“Through the new Velocity Partner Program, Rubrik is proving to us once again how valued its partners are by building our technical and sales competencies further to drive bookings, increase deal size, and accelerate profitability," he said.

Stritt added that the aim of the programme was to reward existing partners and although the firm would talk to those that were attracted to the vendor because of the global scheme it was determined to preserve quality over quantity.

"It is being launched primarily to provide new and expanded opportunities to the current partner base in order for them to enhance their technical and sales capabilities and capitalise on Rubrik’s momentum," he said.
