Exclusive Networks working with NightDragon startups

Distributor chosen as partner to take emerging technologies out to the channel as the investment firm looks for more routes to market

Exclusive Networks has continued to extend its position as a distribution partner for those emerging vendors looking to reach out to the channel.

The firm already works with many startups through its Ignition business, which it acquired in July, to focus on bringing more emerging technology through to the market to a point where those vendors can work with resellers.

The firm is building on that with a partnership with NightDragon, a private investment and advisory firm that specialises in the security market, to help the businesses in its portfolio get in front of more channel partners.

The distie, which is being given a master agreement, will use its Ignition platform to support the NightDragon firms across Europe with its channel and distribution strategies. The tie-up will see those vendors receive business development, pre-sales and transactional support, training and certification, as well as assistance with value proposition creation and vetted introductions to key resellers in the region.

“Exclusive Networks has proven again and again its ability to identify, scale and launch successful cyber security, safety, security and privacy companies. We look forward to working hand in hand with the team to explore investment opportunities and help our portfolio companies expand their global footprints through its Ignition technology specialist company, and enter the critical, growing European market,” said Dave DeWalt, founder and managing director of NightDragon.

The firm has been actively looking to widen its relationships and chances of getting its portfolio in front of more people via its ND Go-to-Market strategy.

The firms shared IDC numbers to underline the potential opportunity that emerging vendor’s could tap into, with the analyst house forecasting spending on IT security in Europe will hit $46.4bn in 2024, up from an estimated $35.6bn in 2021.

Jesper Trolle, CEO of Exclusive Networks, said that part of the distributor’s DNA was to help find and share the technologies from innovative vendors with its channel base.

“Exclusive Networks continues to find new ways to deliver emerging technology innovation to partners around the world. We are proud to work with NightDragon as a fellow cyber specialist on the global stage, helping drive forward the next generation of cyber security, safety, security and privacy companies to their next phase of growth through go-to-market support and services,”  he said.

“This alliance with NightDragon and its portfolio of late-stage scale-up vendors maps perfectly with our track record of helping to propel many such organisations to IPO with sustained market expansion. At the same time, it complements both our Ignition Technology ‘launchpad’ for early and mid-stage startup vendors, alongside the continued strong focus we concentrate upon established late stage startups as they scale-out,” he added.
