BitTitan gives partners more targets with Perspectium buy

Acquisition gives cloud migration player greater access to ServiceNow world and its partners the chance to extend their reach

Cloud automation specialist BitTitan has signalled that its acquisition of ServiceNow specialist Perspectium will be a positive for its channel base.

The firm revealed that it had bought Perspectium, which specialises in packaged integration processes for ServiceNow customers, to bolster its data synchronisation and workflow options. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

As part of the transaction, the 75 staff employed by Perspectium across Europe and the US will transfer to BitTitan, including CEO David Loo, who will join as chief product officer.

The deal also gives the combined firms an opportunity to target the IT service management (ITSM) market, the value of which MarketsandMarkets Research has predicted will grow to $12.2bn by 2025.

“By joining BitTitan, our company will immediately increase its global footprint and enable the further innovation and growth of our data and process synchronisation technologies,” said Perspectium’s Loo.

“It’s a natural fit. Our customer base is complementary, enabling joint customers to benefit from an expanded suite of SaaS [software-as-a-service] products that address today’s IT problems through technology and automation,” he added.

BitTitan founder and CEO Geeman Yip said the deal would give it the chance to add to the offer its partners could take out to customers.

“This acquisition is a major step towards achieving our vision of serving as the world’s IT gateway, enabling the next generation of IT operations management and offering the full continuum of market-leading IT solutions,” he said.

“Perspectium doesn’t currently have a channel, while BitTitan has a strong, global IT partner channel. The acquisition opens a new area of services, enabling channel partners to provide services for the growing ITSM market and ServiceNow customers,” he added.

There are immediate plans to start sharing the benefits of the acquisition with partners and give them fresh customer targets to aim for.

“For the existing BitTitan channel, the acquisition will enable us to quickly bring data synchronisation technology to market, enabling BitTitan and Microsoft partners to expand their services. Immediately, channel partners will have access to integrations with Microsoft, Google, AWS [Amazon Web Services] and ServiceNow, which will open more revenue opportunities,” he added.

Yip said its channel would have more involvement in the ServiceNow ecosystem and it would add data synchronisation capabilities, providing new functionality for its existing Microsoft, Google and Amazon customers as well. “Our partners will be able to integrate applications seamlessly through Perspectium’s product offering,” he said.

“By coming together, BitTitan and Perspectium bring more opportunities to our partner community. Our partners are at the forefront of enabling digital transformation across the globe. This acquisition accelerates the BitTitan technology stack, which will allow BitTitan and our partners to deliver integrated solutions to meet customer needs in today’s increasingly digital world,” he concluded.
