Forcepoint looks for channel growth with Nuvias

The security vendor has added to its distie roster choosing the pan-European player to support growth ambitions

Security player Forcepoint has taken the decision to add Nuvias to its distribution line up to increase coverage in the UK and extend the support it can provide resellers.

The vendor has appointed the distributor with the intention of leaning on its presence here as well as across DACH, which was built up by Wick Hill over the past couple of decades.

Nuvias joins Arrow and e92Plus in the vendor’s disitie line-up, which has been constant for the past few years, and will get full access to the firm’s product portfolio.

“Nuvias will bring additional market scale and increased geographic reach across the UK and DACH. Their network of distributors will increase the range of customers we are able to support with our human-centric security solutions," said Neal Lillywhite, vice president of EMEA channel at Forcepoint.

"We are keen to work with distribution partners who add value, rather than transacting business and we are seeking consulting partners who can sell to the c-suite,” he added.

Lillywhite that it had growth ambitions that would be supported with the appointment as it looked to increase the indirect business across EMEA.

“Now that Forcepoint’s product set is integrated and also offering risk adaptive solutions within our Human Point System, we need partners who can sell across the entire portfolio of market-leading cybersecurity products", he added.

The vendor has been developing its portfolio and recently added dynamic data protection to the mix of cloud and network security offerings.

Matt Bruun, vice president at Forcepoint, said the decision to appoint Nuvias would complement existing distributors and had been made because the UK market was experiencing strong partner growth.

"The appointment is not to sub-divide the UK [between the three distributors] but is to make it a bigger market with Nuvias bringing in additional partners and access to additional customers," he said.

Ian Kirkpatrick, evp cyber security at Nuvias, said that the vendor's portfolio would generate opportunities for resellers.

"We are excited by the prospect for increased sales throughout the Forcepoint portfolio, particularly in areas such as cloud security, web security, and data management around GDPR," he said.
