Spectrami latest to join list of UK VADs

The UAE based channel player is looking to ramp up its activity across Europe with an independent operation opening in the UK

There is a fresh name in distribution for the UK channel to get to know with Spectrami cutting the ribbon on an office here to cover its expansion across EMEA.

The UAE based firm specialises in taking emerging technologies out to market and has opted to open an independent office in the UK in the tech heartland of Bracknell, to help those vendors that are looking to break into the Europe.

The firm works with vendors that operate largely in the networking, security and application management spaces including, AppViewX, Datera, illapa, and Peer Software and has been working with 100 plus resellers in its native UAE territory.

The firm will join a list of distributors that put the emphasis on adding value in terms of providing vendors with high levels of support and resellers with the chance to get involved with something that could open up fresh opportunities with customers.

“Both resellers and vendors are facing a rapidly changing environment – to overcome the challenges they face, resellers need the right products to provide a solution, and vendors need a way of reaching customers,” said Sean Fane, managing director, Spectrami UK.

"The cloud and emerging technologies have changed the dynamics when it comes to delivering IT. Traditional sales models for products and services are becoming obsolete," he added.

Fane is part of a management team that comes with plenty of channel experience. The other two leaders, Grant Tiller and Will Brooks, have most recently spent time at Ivanti and M247 respectively.

"Our aim is to provide the intimate relationship and support both resellers and vendors need: curating technology offerings that resellers can provide to their customers, and helping vendors extend their presence into new markets. The new look Spectrami UK is ready to put resellers in-touch with the next generation of technologies that will transform their customers IT services delivery," said Fane.
