Kaseya backs ambitious MSPs with increased support

Firm increases focus on those that are in high-growth mode and might want to get involved with M&A

Kaseya is looking to increase the practical support it can offers managed service providers (MSPs) at the same time as it has launched an online collaboration platform aimed at customers.

To support MSPs, the firm has launched a new division, focused on high-growth MSPs and is increasing the content available through its Powered Services Pro platform so that partners can get access to tailored marketing and training content.

The vendor said the platform has helped MSPs close more than $3.2m in MRR in the first half of this year through the one-to-one coaching programme. Kaseya has also added Semel Systems training to arm those looking to sell compliance-as-a-service offerings.

MSPs that are looking to expand their business credentials and bolster their position in a consolidating market are expected to engage with Kaseya’s initiative. The new division is being led by Miguel Lopez, Kaseya’s svp of strategic accounts, and will build on existing efforts the firm has made to help MSPs looking into the M&A arena.

At the same time, the firm, which was the victim of a high-profile ransomware attack earlier this summer, also moved to increase the options for customers looking for a forum to share knowledge and best practices.

“Though Kaseya’s customers are located across the globe in a number of industries, they all have one thing in common – the desire to make their IT environments more effective and efficient,” said Mike Puglia, chief strategy officer at Kaseya.

“Kaseya’s Connect IT Community, its new business unit and its latest Powered Services enhancements were all created to help IT professionals get the most out of the workflow-integrated IT Complete suite – allowing organisations to grow their bottom lines while eliminating the time wasted switching between disparate tools.”

The customer collaboration community will include a space for IT professionals to talk to each other as well as specific areas covering automation and feedback on ideas and proposed projects. There will also be exclusive groups that will become open to those that invest the time in the community.

MSP enhancements

  • New division, led by Miguel Lopez, to help MSPs expand their service offerings to succeed in an evolving M&A environment.
  • 85 pieces of digital marketing per month included in Powered Services Pro platform to cover security, backup and compliance services.
  • Vendor will also give its Powered Services Podcast a fresh lick of paint, using it to share insights with MSPs about the main trends and market direction. The podcast is hosted by Dan Tomaszewski, Kaseya’s svp of channel and community and a former MSP CEO.
