The services partner, which signed a 10-year, £2bn IT outsourcing deal with the BBC last October, provided six staff for round-the-clock support for the BBC's election studio, which included 200 computers and 3km of cable.
Siemens staff started planning for election night last summer and staged a mock-up rehearsal in January. They also helped build a cut-down, but fully operational studio elsewhere in London to enable continuity if the BBC studios were evacuated.
