Leeds & Bradford Hospitals' Pathology Service has centralised its data back up with EVault's InfoStage to cope with a massive increase in the amount of data it holds. It also hopes to cut the costs associated with data management.
Marks & Spencer will carry out a complete refresh of its IT systems over the next three years with IBM managing the project. IBM will help with the installation of point of sale systems in stores across the UK and Ireland. The project aims to process customers faster at tills, said Marks & Spencer's IT director, Darrell Stein.
The government IT programme C-Nomis, which was established to aid monitoring convicts, has a £33m capital shortfall because VAT was excluded from the original estimate, the Times has reported.
