AIB’s The Lab was launched as a pop-up in a Dublin shopping centre in June 2013. Its tech-driven branch aims to educate customers about using digital channels for banking.

The bank understands not all of its customers are digitally savvy and it believes it is important to demonstrate new technologies first hand to its customers.

It won the Physical Distribution Award at the Accenture and Efma distribution and marketing innovation in retail financial services awards in Paris last month.
