Salesforce.com extends cloud services offering

Salesforce.com has expanded its software as a service (SaaS) model with Service Cloud.

Service Cloud is a software suite customer support staff can use online to connect with people on social networking sites or in chat rooms.

Salesforce.com said Service Cloud allows firms to create online communities as well as tap into what is being said about their products on sites run by the likes of Facebook and Google.
